ANGELS is the artwork which is a part of the Post-vs-Proto-Renaissance (The Altar of Nations) that was presented at the 54th Venice Biennale (Italy) at the Ukrainian Pavilion in 2011. “The Altar of Nations” is being assembled of egg-shaped wooden elements. The first unprecedented project of the new form of art – recreation of a Renaissance masterpiece – the Ghent Altarpiece.

"The Altar of Nations" is being assembled of egg-shaped wooden elements. The first unprecedented project of the new form of art – recreation of a Renaissance masterpiece – the Ghent Altarpiece. The egg elements were hand painted by people from 42 countries, of various age, social, political and professional backgrounds. Each fragment of the installation was created of 236 ⁷/₃₂ x 236 ⁷/₃₂ in. (6 x 6 m) and contained 12.800 wooden elements. The project was stated as one of the most extraordinary and visited according to the jury and press.
