| Concept | QUANTUM PRAYER The series was presented at the “Glasstress” collateral exhibition withing the official program of the 55th VeniceBiennale in 2013 with subsequent presentations at the London College of Fashion and The Wallace Collection as part of a two-venue exhibition curated by James Putnam, a QUANTUM PRAYER combines two materials: glass and metal. Red, blue, amber and white objects are actual machine engines that have been modified alongside beautiful, noble, unique Murano glass, becoming objects of contemporary conceptual art. Engines – sources of energy, Oksana’s Mas artwork series has become a key piece among others. Specifically, the QUANTUM PRAYER was chosen for the cover of the official catalog and as the main image for the entire global promotional campaign. The project was honored with a separate space for its solo exhibition at the heart of Venice (Palazzo San Teodoro). |
